How to install AutoCAD 2023

Installation AutoCAD 2023
Installation based on the downloaded version:
This manual is based on the already downloaded installation files from your manage.autodesk.com account.
Installation sequence:
Doubleclick the: "AutoCAD_2023_English_Win_64bit_dlm_001_002.sfx.exe" or the "AutoCAD_2023_English_Win_64bit_dlm_002_002.sfx.exe" to start the installationprocedure:
(The name of the installation files may differ somewhat from the given name due to licensing differences.)
Following screen appears:
Provide the location where the installation package is to be extracted to
Default this is the "C:\Autodesk\" folder
Click [ OK ]
Following screen appears :
When the extraction has completed, following screen appears:
Carefully read the License and services agreement.
Activate the “I agree to the Terms of Use” option
Click [ Next ]
Following screen appears :
Provide the location where the software should be installed:
Default this is the "C:\Program Files\Autodesk" folder
Click [ … ] to change the installation folder.
Click [ Install ]
Following screen appears and wil show the installation progress:
Following screen may appear;
Choose tbetween the options:
- [ Not now ] to proceed with your work and restart later
or - [ Restart ] to restart the pc. (Keep any open application/files in mind)
When the installation has been successful following screen appears:
Click [ Finish ] to finalize the AutoCAD 2023 installation.
File in Use
During the installation procedure it might occur that a message is shown which 'demands' the closure of certain applications.
There are three options:
- Choose the “Automatically close applications and attempt to restart them after setup is complete” option:
- Click [ OK ]
- Choose the “Do not close applications. (A Reboot will be required.)” option:
- Click [ OK ]
- Click [ Ignore ]
For option 2 and 3 you will be prompted to restart your pc after installation:
- Click [ Yes ] to restart the pc (advised)
- Click [ No ] to restart at a later moment.
