What to do: "We detected suspicious activity in your Cadac account."

Last modified on: 31. August 2023

Problem:

You have received a message from cadacgroup@cadac.com to inform you of the following:

"We detected suspicious activity in your cadac account."

Causes:

In order to protect the data within your Cadac account, we implement authentication software. This software enables you to log in to several types of Cadac services and software and uses so-called ''anomaly detection'', which tries to detect suspicious activity when logging in in order to keep undesired users out.

Suspicious activity may be detected in the event of:

  • An unusually high number of logins
  • Several consecutive logins
  • Login from a suspicious IP

Solutions

What to do?

Option 1:

In case one of the following applies:

  • You have logged in more often than usual
  • You have logged in several consecutive times for whatever reason
  • You're logging in from a deviating IP, for instance because of a VPN connection

No action is required.

Option 2:

If you do not recognise the situations described in Option 1 or would like to double-check, please don't hesitate to contact Cadac to verify for you.
