Selections have a blue accent (instead of being dashed)

Problem:

Selected objects are shown with a blue accent.

You would like to have them shown as in previous versions (Just dashed or vice versa):

Cause:

The blue accent is part of the hardware acceleration

Solution:

Change the following setting to remove the blue accent:

Type the command: GRAPHICSCONFIG
Under the '2d display settings' (1)
Change the current value 'Advanced mode' to 'Basic mode' (2)
Click [ OK ] to apply this new setting.
