How to open an IFC-file in Revit?

Problem:
I have an IFC file which i want te view/open in Revit, what must i do?

Solution:
To view or open an IFC model in Revit it needs to be loaded into Revit:

Revit version before Revit 2018: Go to the Revit menu button
Revit version from Revit 2018: Go to "File"
Click [ Open | > ]
Click [ IFC ]
Select the IFC file
Click [ Open ]
Revit will convert the IFC geometry and information to Revit geometry based on the set mapping (IFC Options) and the set (default) template.

Loading the IFC model can take some time, the time needed strongly depends on the IFC Model size.
