Toposolid Enhancements

In the latest version of Revit 2025, it is possible to quickly and efficiently process excavations in the toposolid, a feature already available in previous versions but now significantly improved. These improvements not only make processing excavations faster, but also allow users to quickly extract the quantities required for calculations. Moreover, significant improvements have been made to the graphical performance of toposolids, resulting in a smoother experience while working with complex graphical models.

Background PDF

The addition of the "export in background" feature in Revit 2025 is undoubtedly one of the most valuable tools introduced. Previously, users often experienced delays because they had to wait for a PDF to be exported before they could continue with their tasks. However, with the recent release of Revit, this problem has been solved and users can continue with their work while the export takes place in the background. This means that valuable time is no longer wasted waiting, but can be effectively utilised for productive tasks.

Sheet Collections

To give users even more control and overview, Revit's latest update introduces the ability to create collections for sheets. This feature allows users to create collections based on phases or drawing type, allowing them to easily group relevant sheets. These collections can then be quickly added to various print sets, whether publishing to the Construction Cloud or exporting PDFs. This allows users to work more efficiently and save time managing and organising their project documents, while they

Quick alignment for keynotes and text

In previous versions of the programme, tag alignment was a time-consuming process that often required users to manually drag and drop tags, use reference planes and apply other methods to achieve consistent alignment. However, with the latest version, extensive functionalities have been added that significantly simplify this process. Now, users can effortlessly align all tags, text and notes on different views by selecting the desired elements. This addition improves workflow, making time-consuming manual adjustments a thing of the past and allowing users to focus on their design work with improved efficiency.

IFC Mapping

The latest update offers an improved workflow for setting custom IFC mapping via the IFC export functionality. It is now possible to adjust these settings directly from the export options, resulting in a more intuitive and faster process. Users now have the ability to adjust individual export settings per element, allowing them to specify more precisely how their models are mapped to IFC files. Moreover, it is now also possible to save these customised configurations as templates, allowing them to be easily reused for future projects or specific export needs. These additions increase the flexibility and efficiency of the export process, giving users more control over the resulting IFC files and saving time when customising export settings.

Coordination Model Changes

In collaboration on designs via ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud), where models are linked from the Construction Cloud, there is now a handy addition to quickly visualise the differences between models. With the introduction of standard colours, users can now easily identify what changes have been made to linked models. This feature provides an intuitive visual representation of changes, allowing teams to collaborate more effectively and quickly identify and resolve any discrepancies.

More information

The latest version of Autodesk Revit brings with it a host of new features and enhancements applicable to all areas, including infrastructure, construction and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing). With regard to collaboration on both IFC and Design Coordination, significant advances have been made to make these aspects more visible in your model, and to make the IFC export an even more powerful part of your workflow.
