Autodesk software licence review: this is how it works
Autodesk action against illegal software use
In the fight against illegal software use, Autodesk performs scans to find companies that are using a software licence illegally. Autodesk will send an email if your company fails to comply with the Autodesk licence agreement. In this email, Autodesk will ask for your cooperation to remedy this.
When are you not compliant?
If, for example, your company has a single user AutoCAD licence with 7 seats, but in practice you have 10 systems that use this. In this case, there are 3 systems using the software that have not paid for it. This is a matter of 'overuse', and your company is therefore not compliant.
We advise you not to use illegal software and to properly handle licence management within your organization. Please refer to your Autodesk licence agreement to fully understand the rules for using Autodesk software.
Purchasing additional Autodesk software
If Autodesk asks you by email to purchase the software or licences you are misusing, it is important to comply with this request. The e-mail will state which software it concerns, how many licences you need to purchase and within what period of time you need to do so. You can easily order the relevant licences online via Cadac Store. After purchase, the matter will be closed and there will be no more unauthorized use of Autodesk software within your organization.
