What do I have to do when generating solutions demands repetitive login actions?

Problem:

After updating TheModus (version 6.0.42. -> version 1.3.0.x) the login screen is shown when accessing the library or when generating Fitting-solutions, even thou you have already logged in.

Cause:

TheModus uses internetcookies to preserve the users login credentials.

As a result of the update to the latest version the cookies for the old version may still be still used. This can result is a conflict with the login credentials.

Solution:

Delete 'all' cookies from your Internet Browsers, but mainly Internet Explorer.

Deleting 'all' cookies might have impact for other website.

Follow these steps to clear cookies for an individual site in Internet Explorer:

Through Internet Explorer:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Select the 'gear' icon, then select 'Internet options'.
   
3. Select the 'General' tab.
   
4. Under the 'Browsing history' section, select 'Settings'.
   
5. In the 'Website Data Settings' dialog box, select 'View files'.
   
6. Scroll through the list of cookies to find the one you want to delete.

8. Select a cookie and press <Delete> on the keyboard.
9. In the Warning dialog box, select [ Yes ]

Through 'Windows Verkenner':

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Browse to the folder: %localAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\
3. Use the 'search' function to look for 'cadac'
4. Select the cookies: cookie:<username>@....
5. Press the <Delete> button on the keyboard
6. In the warningdialog, click [ Yes ]

In Microsoft Edge (and Edge based browsers like Chromium) it is not possible to erase individual cookies. Use a 'cookie cleaner' like 'CCleaner'.
