The Autodesk CFD Design Study Environment 2016 software helps you improve designs, validate the behaviour of the design and present product performance. 

The Design Study Environment is a UI engine and works with a solver component (CFD Motion). Connect the CFD Design Study Environment to a solver and predict the performance of your product, optimise your design and validate product behaviour. Depending on the type of licence and the product version, you may need licences for both products. 

When you purchase a licence for Autodesk CFD Design Study Environment 2018, you also have the right to use the 2016 version. This is the only way, in the new licensing structure, to "buy" CFD Design Study Environment 2016 (further information on licensing).
