New features in MEP 2016 include the improved snipping tool, toolbar and options for circuits, plus information from the ASHRAE table. Use Autodesk Revit MEP 2016 when you buy a Revit 2017 licence. 

When you purchase a licence for Autodesk Revit 2017, you also have the right to use the MEP version. This is the only way, in the new licensing structure, to "buy" Revit MEP 2016 (further information on licensing).
