Duties: planning, execution, and closing of aeronautical chart conversion and ARINC 424 path and Terminator coding projects.
Using both MicroStation and AutoCAD to draft new and update existing telecom mobile site packages (draft site layout, construction) and plan and draft cable/fibre optic routes. I was also involved in cross platform workflow efficiency tests.
Duties included the production and revision of aeronautical charts using Bentley MicroStation CAD software on apple Macintosh workstations.
Duties included the production of charts for British Airways. After completion of contract I attended a full brief of Aeronautical Information Services courses and then became a course instructor and manager for various courses.
Duties included production of aeronautical charts using both manual and automated processes. I followed a number of courses including MicroStation CAD and the Intergraph Aeronautical Charting System.
One year at MOSS Systems LTD (From 2003 Bentley UK) as a product support specialist testing the MOSS civil engineering software application in both abstract and as applied to real examples.
My duties where to produce road maps using manual techniques which included pen work, scribing and patching. Photographic processes were also involved whereby I had to produce photographic negatives of the work produced.
Work involved both automated and manual production of aeronautical charts. I was also involved in the planning and reproduction of sortie material for both Tornado and Buccaneer aircraft.
After college, I completed six months theory and six months on the job training resulting in position as Aeronautical Cartographer.
