New features and improvements in Autodesk Alias AutoStudio
- New modelling tools: In Alias 2026, we have included new modelling tools, including Soft Proportional Modification, Variable Offset and Subdivision Check Model tools.
- User interface improvements: Several updates have been made to the Alias interface, including improvements to the Layer Bars, Custom Puck updates and more.
- VRED rendering: This release introduces improved viewport visualisation with the ability to render using Autodesk VRED rendering technology. You can now assign, edit and create VRED Truelight and MaterialX materials, and use VRED Ambient Occlusion.
- New Soft Proportional Modification Tool: This new tool allows you to proportionally modify selected CVs. The tool uses vertex colour mapping to indicate the amount of selection deviation applied to the CVs.
- New Alias to VRED Live Referencing: This makes visualisation accessible to designers and surface modellers, enabling faster design reviews, XR collaboration or the creation of high-end visuals.
- New Variable Surface Offset Tool: With a new Variable Surface Offset tool, you can create offset surfaces that are not uniform in size.
