How to find the AutoCAD log file

A (Cadac) Support engineer asks you to provide the AutoCAD log file, to be able to determine the cause of an error more quickly.


You can find the AutoCAD log file in 2 different ways:


Option 1:  Find the Log file through the current drawing.


By entering the "Logfilename" command followed by an <Enter> in de commandline.
The reply will be the complete filename and the file location path.


Option 2: Default File location.

When you want to know the default location of the AutoCAD log file:
Open the AutoCAD Options ( Enter "OP" in the commandline followed by an <Enter> ).
Open the 'Files' tab.

Select the [+] button in front of the line: 'log file location'.
