What to do when a DWG opens the incorrect AutoCAD (LT) version?

Problem:
When opening a DWG file direct through Windows Explorer (with a double click), the incorrect version of AutoCAD (LT) is being started.
Cause:
The default application to open DWG files is set to the incorrect AutoCAD (LT) version.
Solution:
In this solution we want all DWG files to open with AutoCAD 2023. When you wish to use another version you need to follow these steps for the required AutoCAD (LT) version).
- Open Windows Explorer, Find a DWG file and give this file a Right Mouse Button click.
- Choose 'Open with...' -> 'Choose another app'.
- In this screen, select "AUTOCAD DWG Launcher" (If this option is not available in the list, use the option 'Choose anonther app on your pc' and browse to the following location "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AcShellEx" en selecteer 'Aclauncher.exe').
- Activatie the option to "Always" use this app when opening DWG files.
- With this setting you have 'told' Windows to start with the last used AutoCAD version that has been used on this pc.
- Open AutoCAD 2023, from Windows Start.
- Drag a DWG file from Windows Explorer into AutoCAD 2023.
The next time a double click is performed on an DWG file AutoCAD 2023 will be opened.
