We are getting a successor to Autodesk Inventor Professional 2024 and Inventor Professional 2025. Autodesk Inventor Professional 2026 brings several improvements to optimise your design workflow. With Associative Mirroring, mirroring and editing your assemblies is faster and easier than ever. All changes you make to the position or geometry of the source part are reflected and remain associated with the mirrored side.

Another update is the Sheet Metal interface, which shows improvements to features such as the contour flange, corner rounding and punch tool, contributing to an intuitive, simple and pleasant working experience. In addition, there is a new Break View workflow that gives you more control over break lines. You can now add break lines to a sketch and measure the distance to the entities in the view. The sketch is saved in the browser so you can edit it later if necessary.

This release includes several improvements to enhance interoperability with Revit data. The BIM Content Environment has been expanded with new commands, including useful UCS and Placement commands that allow you to position assets accurately and efficiently. Tools have also been added to add properties and simplify data for smoother export. Linking Revit categories to parts and assemblies is now also faster: this can be done directly via the iProperties dialogue box or the Bill of Materials interface.

Finally, with the Simply Parts functionality, you can easily select which parts or features you want to include or exclude to create a clear view. Keep only what is really necessary according to your design requirements, reducing complexity and improving clarity.

New features and improvements in Autodesk Inventor Professional 2026

• Pattern improvements: Pattern features have been improved, particularly for rectangular, circular and sketch-driven elements. These three elements have been moved to the properties panel and include a new shadow preview and graphical manipulation. New in rectangular and circular patterns is the option for irregular spacing. You can select specific instances in the graphical view and specify a random value for each one.
• Shell improvements: Use the new view and workflows to create shells faster. It is now also possible to create shells with rounded corners.
• Model States improvements: New browser menus have been added and it is now possible to edit multiple model states at the same time, link or unlink BOM relationships, and make adjustments directly in the table editor.
• iLogic improvements: The Open and Save dialog boxes have been updated with standard Windows components. You can now easily open the location of templates via the ‘New File’ window. It is also now possible to search for keywords in the ‘Prompts’ tab of the Application settings.
• Graphical improvements: The interface now uses the dark theme by default, which can be customised via the colour settings. You can set the colour scheme directly via the ribbon, with improved labels for sketch lines that apply to 2D and 3D. In addition, when using multiple monitors, windows such as Content Centre and Cable & Harness are displayed correctly on the active screen.
• Translator improvement: This 2026 version of Inventor Professional introduces a new ATF solution to improve translator performance and maintain consistency with the original product.
