User receives error message when starting TheModus (Pro. of Ess.)
Last modified on: 15. Juli 2022
Problem:
A user receives one (or more) of the following error messages when starting one of the TheModus Components (TheModus, TheModus Model Extender, Nordined, Nordined LT en/of Techline):
- Geen licentie uitgegeven
Er kon geen accesstoken worden opgehaald worden. - Er is een onbekende error opgetreden, neem contact op met de helpdesk als dit zich blijft voordoen.
Maybe followed bij:
- Nordined autorisatiecode niet gevonden
Nordined hardwarelock niet gevonden.
Cause:
As of July 1st (2022) the access to the software for all 'unknown users' (Users who are not added to the user-list within the User management environment on 'My Cadac') has been restricted.
This is one of the steps of the Cadac Transition to Named Use.
Solution:
To grant a user (renewed) access to a license for TheModus Professional/TheModus Essential/TheModus Model Extender, this user must be added as a licensee.
TheModus Professional consists of: TheModus for Revit, Nordined and Techline for AutoCAD
TheModus Essential consists of TheModus UOL for Revit and Nordined LT
Procedure:
- Go tor www.cadac.com
- Click 'My Cadac' when you have not signed in yet.
- Click your sign-in name.
- Choose 'My licenses'
- When the page displays a message that the view is restricted confirm the removal of the restriction:
Click [ Confirm ] - Click the 'pencil-icon' behind the desired license group:
- Click [ + Assign license ]:
- Provide the First name, Last name and email address of the user.
- Set the role(s) en choose whether or not an email should be sent to the user.
- Click [ Add ]
The user can now (once again) make use of the software.
Attention!
Cadac offers a temporary option to assign more licenses than are available within the contract. This is called 'Overuse'. Check to see if registered user are indeed in need of a license to come to the actual number of needed licenses.
Extend the number of available licenses through the Cadac Store button:
