Chart Migration Service
ICAO compliant charts without investment in a full-blown charting system
Tabbed content
Currently many AIS departments’ aeronautical charts are in paper or various digital formats. It may also be the case that some of the charts are not fully ICAO compliant.
We will take your current aeronautical charts whether it is in a paper, bitmap or vector format and convert them to one standard digital format. The charts will be ICAO compliant and if desired, Eurocontrol European AIS Database (EAD) compatible. We can also produce completely new charts on request.
The chart will be created using the smartGlobe Aeronautical Charting System. The aeronautical data such as airports, navigation aids, airways and procedures will then be added from an aeronautical database.
The topography and hydrography relevant to the chart will be added as vector data using smartGlobe MapTrans. MapTrans imports and automatically converts ‘unprojected’ vector files to the correct projection required for a specific chart type. If the ‘unprojected’ vector files are not supplied by the customer, NedGraphics will use VMAP data for the topography and hydrography.
All charts are created using an ICAO compliant specification. If you wish we can use your current specification i.e. levels, colours and fonts etc. for the new charts. All charts are then saved to your choice of media and in the format that you specify (.dgn, .dxf, .dwf or .dwg)
