Important features in Autodesk Point Layout
- Dynamic point types: Point Layout allows you to set the types of points in Revit to any value you want. This allows you to create default values or set a default start number.
- Detect point deviations in Revit: because Point Layout makes it easy to create view templates in Revit, you can easily see where points in the model differ from those on the construction site.
- Revit Compare Points: the Revit Compare Points tool has been optimised with a new visualisation feature that allows you to mark deviations using visibility and colour overrides.
- Check and validate the layout with BIM: send points directly to the BIM 360 Layout mobile app (iOS or Android) for layout and verification on the construction site (requires a subscription to BIM 360 Coordinate).
- Export, import and compare model data: export location points in direct file formats compatible with robotics total stations, perform QA/QC and import accurate as-built locations back into the construction model.
