Vendor documentation
As supplier or vendor it is your responsibility to deliver equipment, machinery or other products according to specifications and with up to date user and service manuals, health, safety, energy and other documentation. You first of all need to ensure that you are able to respond adequately to RFI’s and RFP’s by providing complete and accurate information. And when you are the supplier or vendor of choice you need to live up to your contractual obligations by producing and delivering your goods, on time, within budget and according to specs.
Change and version management
In case specifications change, you need to make sure that you can track the changes and related correspondence and ensure that your employees are aware of the latest version of documents. The consequence of errors is such that you cannot ignore the need to adequately manage documents and control document distribution with your customers.
